Indians blazed criticism against their political leaders on Sunday after the attacks in Mumbai which killed almost 200 people, saying their bickering and ineptness was at least partly responsible.
"These are the people who are responsible for the system," author and columnist Shoba De, a Mumbai resident, said on one talk show.
"The city would not have suffered the way it has had it not been for the complete and total abrogation of duty and the kind of negligence we've seen, the kind of indifference we've seen."
"Our politicians fiddle as innocents die," .
"But today, as heaps of bodies lie in morgues ... it is time to ask our politicians, are you going back to playing politics with our lives? Or are you going to do something worthwhile with yours?"
Shame on Mumbai politicians. Where is Raj Thackeray and his hoodlums who claim to own the city when the city was burning?” asked Omprakash Tiwari, a milk trader, as he participated in a rally called to mourn the deaths of people in the terrorist attack.Indeed the politicians from Mumbai have proved to be a pathetic lot in this worst crisis, right from Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and his Deputy R R Patil, who did only loose talking sitting in air-conditioned chambers and moving around in highly guarded convoys, while brave soldiers were going down under.
Federal Home Minister Shivraj Patil resigned.

But that may not be enough to satisfy critics.
Whole world knows whos responsible...but no actions have been taken by the govt.
Whole world is criticizing our country just because of the politicians.....

I had a feeling that people of India has become senseless as they bear all through the corruption and torture from all side -may be its a politician or an high profile officer or a real estate owner.Aall are corrupted and many even more than crores are victim.
